John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Consider all that has recently taken place, from the local tornado, loss of life, homes and property to the coronavirus, pandemics, school closures, and economy changes.  We are all being impacted to some degree.  Oftentimes, people begin to question God during these hard situations.  Why do these things happen?

In today’s world, in your job, family, finances, or in your relationships…you will have tribulation. He did not say “You might have.” He did not say, “It is possible to have.” Jesus said “You WILL Have.”  No matter what you have experienced or are currently going through, there is still GOOD News.  Jesus said “in Me you may have peace”; “I have overcome the world”.

Romans 5:1 says Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

During this difficult time, there is peace because of Christ’s certain victory.  No matter how bad it seems or how pressed you may feel, understand that if you are in Christ, His peace is in you.  If you feel like the world is winning, take heart, He has overcome the world.

David Wilkerson said, “Jesus died on the cross to purchase peace with God for me, and He is in heaven now to maintain that peace, for me and in me.”  John 16:33 says These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

The bad news…We WILL have hardships.  The good news…God has given us peace and has overcome on our behalf.  Be of good cheer!
