The 7th Annual CHILI CHALLENGE Cook Off to benefit Adult and Teen Challenge of the Upper Cumberland will be held Friday, September 27 from 11:00 – 1:00 at Livingston Central Park. This year’s Cook Off is sponsored by Ridge Brooke Retirement Planning and First National Bank.
The public pays $10 for a bowl and a drink, walks through and samples chili from various booths, listening to live music and testimonies from Adult and Teen Challenge residents and then votes for the best tasting chili. The Chili Challenge winner is announced around 1:00 that day and will be recognized with a certificate and photo in the local newspapers, and featured in our social media and newsletter.
The purpose of the Annual Chili Challenge is to provide a large, collective promotion opportunity for local businesses and all proceeds from this event go to the ministry of Adult and Teen Challenge of the Upper Cumberland to continue the fight against drug addiction in our community. Last year, approximately 380 people attended.
There are 10ft x 10ft spots available for vendors to set up a canopy and serving table and serve up large crock pots or warmers of your favorite chili recipe. Please bring any promotional literature about your business or organization and promote any upcoming events that you have. The cost to compete with your best chili recipe is only $100 which includes your booth space and a 2’ x 2’ banner with your logo/name that we will print for you. Chili Challenge promotions and advertising include newspaper, radio, social media, email and printed newsletters and community fliers.
Is cooking chili not your thing? You may purchase the 2’ x 2’ banner with your logo/name for only $50 without the booth space and we will display it for you the day of the event.
